Born with the name Kijre in Tilyet village deep in the Golmore Jungle, Chambord was raised by her two mothers; Molja and Hel. Her father, Kuya, had a negative reputation among the village elders for telling the young viera about the outside world along the borders of the jungle where his party patrolled. Doted on by her mothers, Chambord was a prodigy in her training as a steward of the Wood.However, as she grew up, Chambord began to get restless. She could traverse the woods with ease, she was ahead of her peers in combat, and she began to have strange dreams where she lived through horrible events in a foreign body and a foreign land. Her mothers knew it was only a matter of time before she would decide to abandon the Wood instead of remaining out of duty and growing to resent it.At age 30, she said her goodbyes to her mothers and left with her father's party of male viera to the outskirts of Golmore where she would then make for Garlean-occupied Dalmasca alone. She would never be able to return.In Dalmsca Inferior, Chambord saw the way the Garlean Empire's occupation smothered the colonized and began to fear for the Wood, which had been able to repel the empire's advances thus far. Just as she considered attempting to return and begging to at least join a party of viera men to help defend their territory, she heard of Eorzea. The calamity that befell it and repelled the empire for a time coincided with exactly when she began to have her strange dreams. Knowing it to be a sign, she boarded a ship headed for Limsa Lominsa, seeing it as an advantage she could help press against Garlemald.While en route to Eorzea, she chanced upon some literature from Ishgard as reading material for the long journey. This was not only her first experience with pulpy romance novels, but also of a reclusive city-state so foreign even to what she knew of the kingdoms of Dalmasca and Ivalice that she was instantly enchanted by it. She picked her city name then, casting off Kijre Tilyet for Chambord du Morganite; a syrupy sweet liqueur and a brilliant gemstone.

NON-WOL ROLEPLAY

If she were not the warrior of light, most of her backstory up to arriving in Limsa Lominsa would be the same. She would still have the Echo, but likely to a less powerful extent to that seen in-game. She can dream other people's memories but can't easily place them to the person they belong to.While she lives in Gridania because the vast forests remind her of home, she spends a lot of time in Ishgard because of her fascination with its society compared to the one she comes from. Ever since reading some (fictional) novels about the city-state as she crossed the sea from Dalmasca, she's been enchanted with the idea of knights and nobles and churches and dragons.I'm still a huge novice when it comes to roleplaying, but I don't mind being a wallflower either! If you see Chambord at a roleplay event and want to interact with her, here are some things you can work into a hook!-She wears a wedding ring on a necklace chain instead of on her hand so she can more easily wear gloves and armor.-She LOVES minions. Any sort of small critter can reduce her to tears, even a morbol seedling.-She has pipe dreams of being a songstress (her character is heavily inspired not only by magical girls, but idols too LOL). She has a beautiful voice, but without the star power of being the warrior of light, she doesn't really know how to go about establishing herself.
